Organized in 1870

On a rainy evening, March 21, 1870, the original nine charter members gathered at the “new” Odd Fellows Hall in York Springs to formally constitute the first meeting of Hebron Lodge #465 Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania. With the Warrant of Constitution in hand and signed by the Grand Master of Pennsylvania, R. A. Lamberton Sr.,on March 2, 1870, and with Brother R. H. Thomas, Esq. Right Worthy District Deputy Grand Master in attendance to open the lodge and to assist in the degree work the lodge was opened in ancient form. There were 13 visitors at that meeting.
